DJ Cheapshot is one-quarter of the Warner Brothers
music group STYLES OF BEYOND. He?s seen the world as tour DJ for FORT MINOR, which consists of members of both STYLES OF BEYOND and LINKIN PARK. The success of FORT MINOR grew quickly and made them a platinum recording group and a 2006 VMA award winner. In 2006 they toured the globe, including sold out shows across Asia with 50-Cent.
Cheapshot has over 10 years experience as a deejay, beginning in high school where he first met one of the members of STYLES OF BEYOND. Over the years his love of music and deejaying has kept him on the forefront of the club scene and his name on the lips of club owners worldwide. 2006 saw Cheapshot frequently touring Asia and Europe with his respective groups as the main act Cheapshot has returned to Los Angeles to pursue the local and national markets.
His skills as a producer and DJ are at the top of the game, having produced and remixed for the Beastie Boys and Linkin Park. His productions have found their way onto TV shows such as ?America?s Next Top Model? and ?The Real World.? He?s spun Hollywood parties for Jim Carey and appeared on Jay Leno, Conan O?Brien and Carson Daly.
He can cross numerous genres with ease on the turntables, creating a packed dance floor wherever he travels. Whether he?s getting into old-school groves or the newest hits, his ability to rock a party is world class and timeless.

With a name like Cheval Bar, it?s natural to walk in expecting to find a horse-themed lounge, but alas, there isn?t a mare to be found. Cheval is more dance lounge than barn dance and definitely sleeker than a stable, with intimate booths, bottle service, a romantic, sunken lounge area and multi-coloured mood lighting.
In fact, the only real stable-like features in the place are the cowhide stools and a few glassed-in saddles behind the bar. That?s because the real reason for the name isn?t in the décor -- it?s in the building?s history. Almost a century ago, the space was the location of an RCMP horse stable. And, if history repeats itself, Cheval will quickly join the ranks of its sister clubs West Lounge, Maro and Brant House and establish itself as one of King West?s hippest places to be.
Although beer drinkers can count the brands on one hand, Cheval is a martini lover?s paradise; the most popular being the tart tasting, bud-popping Raspberry Martini, garnished with strawberries and lychee fruit. And, although you definitely won?t see a horse riding by, you can catch the occasional glimpse of a different kind of wild ride, as fast-moving and tasteful vintage ?adult? images loop on a screen by the bar.
