The third installment of this series will be headlined by New York DJ/Producer ALIX ALVAREZ, alongside Toronto?s own Mat Chrysdale.

As a respected talent from NYC, Alix Alvarez is blazing a trail for young and exciting producers. He has begun to create his own niche in the music industry by establishing himself through music production. Today at the age of 28 he has worked with some of the industry?s top artists and produced stunning musical gems for some of the world?s best underground dance labels. From working in the studio with Osunlade on remix projects to collaborating on new material with Lem Springsteen (Mood II Swing), this self taught musician has already made his own imprint in the world of underground dance music.

, "House is the Key" Saturday, May 13th 2006-an exclusive launch event in celebration of the companys first season of events and more importantly, in celebration of the "year of great house music".
Brainchild of local promoter and deephouse enthusiast Lindi Masunda, TenaciouSoul Productions was created to offer like-minded Toronto househeads an escape from the overly processed sounds that have become characteristic of commercial nightclubs and instead, a musical experience that is soulful and organic. Guiding the experience throughout the evening was none other than Bird resident, Dirty Dale Arseneault and deephouse devotee Jason Ulrich, blessing us with their sacred selection and stellar skills.
The event took place at --- -------, discreetly located half a block north of Queen St W and went from 11pm onward. To add to the partys exclusive and understated nature, all attendees were required to RSVP in advance or presented a specially marked key at the door upon arriving before being granted entrance. While a simple email/call ensured that you were able to dance that night, appearing with a key, however, proved that you already did on another. Spotting the "nimble-necked" and "loose-legged" at recent events and then handing them their special key, is just one of the promoters creative tactics used to minimally disseminate the word to their target audience, namely dancers.
TenaciouSoul Productions is a fresh production company based in Toronto, Ontario. Its mission is to bring dance back to its humble roots and cozier beginnings -as any house thats a home should be.

This decadent space feels like a cross between a Moroccan hookah bar and a Manhattan martini lounge. In fact, owner Jamil Kamal found all the furniture on a shopping spree in Marrakesh?s storied medina. A mirrored mosaic adorns one wall, and there are sapphire- and ruby-coloured lanterns, a blue marble bar and exotic wooden doors. Pillow-strewn low-slung banquettes complete the picture. The place was designed by Alessandro Munge (of Ultra Supper Club and Lux fame), and its music is of the desperately hip down-tempo variety, but Foundation Room is refreshingly unpretentious.
