House Producers - wanna work with Marshall Jefferson?

Marshall Jefferson - likes to smile.

OK, so for most people it might be a bit tricky to get hold of the man to get him into the studio - but this is the next best thing! For the latest instalment of their artist series sample packs Loopmasters proudly present Volume 3 from the ‘godfather of house’ Marshall Jefferson subtitled ‘House Generation’

Born in Chicago in 1959, Marshall was a central figure in the development of the Chicago house scene and produced seminal house anthems including ‘Move Your Body’, ‘7 Ways To Jack’ and ‘Open Our Eyes’. He has worked with the best in the business, from fellow founding father Frankie Knuckles to Roy Davis Jr., Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Felix Da Housecat and Lil Louis. Marshall has had a leading hand in the growth of the acid and deep house movements ever since.

Marshall’s first release, 1985’s ‘Go Wild Rhythm Trax’ on Virgo Records, demonstrated Marshall had the talent vital to succeed in such a fickle industry. ‘Move Your Body’, originally a production Marshall had passed onto legendary Music box resident Ron Hardy, was released on Trax Records in 1986 and is today recognised as a genre-defining release, having been subtitled and acclaimed ‘The House Music Anthem’.

The mid-1980s gave way to the development of acid house, and Marshall actively participated in the movement’s growth through his use of the Roland TB303. The release in 1987 of ‘Acid Trax’ launched the career of DJ Pierre and Marshall went on to work with the likes of Ten City, Robert Owens, Keith Thompson and Pierre’s collective Phuture.

With so much more history it is hard for this press release to not just solely be about Marshall, but to cut the story short there the godfather of house music has been drafted in by leaders of electronic music sample packs Loopmasters to deliver the ultimate house music sample collection ‘House Generation’.

Featuring live house drums, 808 and 909 house beats alongside 303 basslines care of the big man, lots of vocals recorded especially for this pack, Bam Bam guitar samples, Chicago Jazz Philharmonic House Strings and Horns plus high quality drum hits and musical loops making this a must for any house music producer.

These samples will be available as Acidised Wav Samples, Rex2 Loops, Apple Loops, Reason Refill packs, plus patches ready for Reason, Kontakt, Halion, EXS24, Emulator X2, Ableton Live. Loopmasters ‘Artist Series’ feature exclusive collections of royalty free samples from some of the best-known producers worldwide. Every care has been taken to ensure you receive the very best value for money combined with the best choice of formats and usability within your productions. www.myspace.com/housemusicgodfather // www.loopmasters.com
