Bestival 2008, 5th-7th September. Robin Hill country park, Isle of Wight. Bestival has sold out! All weekend tickets have now been snapped up and only a handful of day tickets are available! Be super quick, this is one you do not want to miss! Rob Da Bank's 'Bestival' is a relatively new addition to Great Britain's summer festival program, but in the tree years since its inception has already become one of the country's favourites. Held in a country park on the Isle of Wight, Bestival's late-summer dates mean that for the last few years it has experienced some of the best of England's notoriously unpredictable weather.
One of the reasons Bestival has become so popular in such a short space of time is the organiser's somewhat quirly approach. Festivalgoers have always been encouraged to appear in costumes. In 2005 it was near-compulsory, as the Bestival team aimed to beat the Guinness World Record for the greatest number of people in Fancy Dress at any one event. This, combined with other innovations such as making the festival 'Carbon Neutral', providing an inflatable 'church'complete with priest to marry couples onsite, special tents for breastfeeding mothers and a host of charitable initiatives really set this event apart from the mainstream.

2008's line up includes live acts from Amy Winehouse, Crystal Castles, These New Puritans, Black Kids, Does it offend you, yeah?, Chromeo, Gary Numan, Foals, CSS, Hot Chip, Lady Hawke, The Teenagers, Kissy Sell Out, Hadouken, Metronomy, Late of the Pier, Midnight Juggernauts, Sam Sparro, and Lethal Bizzle... And DJ sets from the likes of Alexa Chung, Annie Mac, DJ Yoda, Kelly Osbourne, Tayo, Roni Size, Layo and Bushwacka, Zane Lowe and many more...

Keep checking CGWW for updates.
