Festival of fire
For four nights every year the Festival of Fire international on-water fireworks competition, choreographed to music, lights up the sky over Toronto's Lake Ontario, dazzling around two million spectators.
A major international pyrotechnics showdown, the festival features displays presented by competing nations and a grand finale, sending the event out with a bang. The fireworks are launched from a lake freighter moored off the south shore of Ontario Place - where the prime viewing and judging takes place.
