Toronto has been shooting up the ranks of worldwide Dance Music hotsopts recently, and further cementing that fact is the announcement of this year's first annual Summer Music Conference. Billed as a networking event-cum-music-festival, Summer Music Conference has more in common with, say Sonar in Spain than the usual straight-up rave in a field.

Full details and lineup are yet to be announced, but we've been in touch with the organisers who say they have plenty of special surprises up their sleeves, both for music fans and die-hard Industry schmoozers. We've been told to expect a one-day festival event hosted by European clubbing heavyweights, the LOVE Organisation, pool parties, boat parties, a mini film-festival, an awards event for special achievements in Electronic Music, seminars, panel workshops and access to Toronto's hottest nightclubs, all as part of the package.  Sounds great!
