The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 is set to be the ultimate summer scorcher, with a line up that already beats the best of the rest. New for 2008, Festival organisers, Solo, have decided to up the festival fun factor with the addition of a 5â??000 capacity, circus style Big Top. For the first time, festival goers can roll on up and rock on down to a host of great bands and DJâ??s performing throughout the weekend, including Feeder, Sugababes and The Stranglers.

Welsh rockers Feeder will lift the roof of the Big Top on Sunday 15th June. Named by the Guinness British Book of Hit Singles and Albums as â??one of the most successful UK chart acts of all time, based on the combination of single and album chart weeks,â?? Feeder are true festival favourites.

Britainâ??s sassiest and most successful Girl Group, Sugababes, will be next on the Big Top bill as they rock up to perform. The Brit Award winning, British trio have notched up 20 hit singles and 5 platinum selling albums, earning a reputation as the most successful all-female, UK act of the 21st Century. Saturday 14th June will be their night to shine on the Solent.

Also rolling into the Big Top on Saturday 14th June will be The Australian Pink Floyd Show. Formed in South Australia back in 1988, the tribute band has won high acclaim. As the only Pink Floyd tribute band to have ever gone on tour, they have sold out international arenas and are set to play the hottest festival this summer.

Taking pride of place in the Big Top on Friday 13th June are The Stranglers. With 32 top 40 hits, spanning over 4 decades, The Stranglers remain true to form and are set to be a firm favourite at the Isle of Wight Festival 2008. During the punk movement of 1977, it was debut single Grip, taken from their legendary first album Rattus Norvegicus, that launched the band into public consciousness from thereon in.

Feeder, Sugababes and The Stranglers are welcome additions to a line up that already boasts some of the biggest and best bands around, including Kaiser Chiefs, Sex Pistols, The Police, The Kooks, Ian Brown and Lily Allen.
