The dates for Reading Festival 2008 have been confirmed as Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th August.
Reading festival is Leeds festival?s twin and a music fans' favourite, repeatedly drawing in the biggest and best in Rock music from all over the world.
Bands that have appeared at Reading over the last 36 years are a musical Who's, including such diverse acts as: AC/DC, Arthur Brown, Bjork, Black Sabbath, The Buzzcocks, The Chemical Brothers, Eminem, The Faces, Foo Fighters, Hawkwind, Iggy Pop, Iron Maiden, The Libertines, Lou Reed, Manfred Mann, Manic Street Preachers, Marilyn Manson, Motorhead, Neil Young, Nick Cave, Oasis, P.J. Harvey, Paul Weller, Peter Gabriel, The Prodigy, Public Enemy, Radiohead and Status Quo.

Early bird tickets were on sale for a limited time immediately after the 2007 event.
All tickets will be on sale when the first line-up announcements are made (normally in March).
Children under 13 (12 and under) are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

On site facilities include: bars, cash points, paramedics, food & non-food stalls and, making sure you don't get lost, comprehensive information points. Last year's 'Silent Disco will also be making another appearance by popular demand.

After nine years of partnership, Festival Republic have announced that Carling will no longer be the headlining sponsor or official lager of Reading festival and so anyone expecting their free crate of beer for keeping their wristbands will be sadly disappointed. However the rumoured line up looks once again promising and so festival goers look set to have another fantastic weekender.
