Keeping Britain Tidy

Love it or hate it, there's no denying the passion that Hard Dance listeners have for the sound they love, and the Tidy Trax empire is always there to cater for the loyal fans. We certainly have Tidy to thank for the resurgence in 'weekender' club events in the UK. Before the days of Easyjet and Ryanair's cut-price flights, the average Briton would take their holiday in one of many 'Holiday Camps' up and down the country.

Holiday Camp life was summed up in the 80's comedy series 'Hi-de-Hi' - individual 'chalets' (more like caravans on bricks!), indoor swimming pools, fish n'chips, donkey rides for the kids and wholesome family entertainment. However, times have changed and the holiday camps started to find attendances dropping. In stepped Tidy, bringing their madcap, fluoro'd up, banging hard dance sound to the once-peaceful Pontin's holiday camp for three days of non-stop madness. 14 events old, the Tidy Weekender has been going from strength to strength, and is now a must-do event for any self-respecting Hard Dance fan.

The lineups read like a who's who of the genre, with this March's event hosting Yoji Biomehanika from Japan, Mark EG, BK, Captain Tinrib, Finland's Proteus, and just about anyone who's ever made a decent hard dance record!

The musical focus is unashamedly hard, although this year, Tidy have booked the Scratch Pervertz as well as a few other 'mellower' acts for the older raver whose knees might be starting to give!

The 14th Tidy Weekender will be held on the 7th, 8th and 9th of March.
