If the band’s name conjures up images of cute, small Japanese girls wearing school uniforms singing bubblegum pop music, think again. This simplistically titled release, ‘EP1’, from Northern Ireland’s The Japanese Popstars has a lot more to offer than it initially lets on. |

As the run-up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing continues, attention is once again focussed on the long-running tensions caused by China’s occupation of Tibet. Well, I was quite looking forward to Mr. Da Housecat's new GU offering - we at CGWW towers are fans of Felix's electro-clash-tinged housey sound. The package consists of two CDs - one entitled 'Fuck Rock' and the other 'Fuck Rave'. The first, 'Fuck Rock' isn't particularly Rocky at all - it's more 3am chugging minimal and electro. |
